We are looking for team players who can help financial services firms solve problems. As a team player and leading Business Analyst, you will be one of the senior technical BA leads for software retirements and system upgrades.

Your team will succeed by analyzing abstract technical data and user stories into business value, and helping our clients move from discovery to production. As a technical team player, you will help influence the future roadmap and play an important part in empowering our client and their staff to achieve more.
Responsibilities
As a team player, the Business Analyst will be responsible for the following across 3 key themes.
Requirements
  • The BA is the team owner of requirements documentation and elicitation. Instead of being the "liaison" between the team the product owner, you are the "glue" that brings them together.
  • Help facilitate requirements gathering sessions, break epics into small valuable stories and identify clear and concise user acceptance tests and business rules for each story.
  • Schedule and facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and make sure the right SMEs are invited.
  • Ensure all scope changes have been appropriately captured and documented in the requirements backlog.
  • Organize requirement artifacts in an easy structure and link any additional artifacts such as process diagrams, UI Prototypes so they are accessible from one location for the team.
Testing
  • Perform functional and user interface (UI) testing as required, once the Test Engineer has released code to the QA environment.
  • Develops UAT test plans to be used by the business.
  • Works closely with the business SME/UAT testers to track testing progress for each story.
  • Facilitates UAT sessions with the business and capture changes as new requirements in Jira.
Team Engagement
  • Manage the backlog of stories by adding, removing, updating stories there (after Product Owner approval) and keeping it up to date as part of backlog "grooming".
  • During the iterations, work on making sure the stories, test cases and business rules are clear, accessible and understood by the business and developers for all stories.
  • Look ahead with the Product Owner to define stories and test cases for the next iteration and provide a clear definition of "Done" for each one.
  • Organize the agenda for the sprint demo and records any new requirements mentioned during the meeting as new user stories.


Qualifications
  • Team Player
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in or managing back, middle and front office implementations in the financial services industry.
  • Experience implementing and integrating back, middle and front office functions with Accounting systems/providers (SS&C GlobeOp / Advent Geneva preferred) and Performance systems for Total Return Performance and GIPS Composite information (e.g. BiSam preferred)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) required.
  • Experience utilizing databases with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience as a business analyst (or equivalent) in the area of data architecture, data transformation, data modeling, database design and warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, analysis, etc.
  • Experience using Agile tools like Rally, Jira, and VersionOne (Jira Preferred)
  • Ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks using Agile best practices and project data
  • Ideal candidates possess 5 or more projects in a combination of operational and IT roles.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of investment products from equity to equities, derivatives and alternatives.
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing complex technology solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience navigating complex organizational structures and communicate with both technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Great communication and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative mindset.
