Staff Data Engineer

Looking to for a Staff Data Role where you will head up a major infrastructure migration from Spark to Databricks, influence the technical direction of the companies data strategy while working on a SaaS platform that enables millions of children to learn every day?Well look no further!A industry leading Ed-Tech firm is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join their team and do just that.What we need from you -

• Hands on experience with DataBricks, EMR and DMS - along with a knowledge of the AWS stack as a whole.
• Wizard level skills in Python and SQL for building ETL.
• Experience with migration from one data platform to another (ideally from Spark).
• An understanding of modernn best practices for Data quality and governance.
• Proven technical leadership experience.
• Excellent soft skills with experience managing internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll be doing -

• End-to-end implementation of Databricks across enterprise level data infrastructure.
• Guiding more junior Data Engineers on best practices and architecture.
• Influencing the technical direction of the data strategy at the highest levels of the business.
