Description:

Emerald Expositions, the leading operator of large-scale B2B and consumer trade shows, is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to drive marketing initiatives for our Photo Group, which includes WPPI, TPM, TPS and Rangefinder. This role is responsible for overseeing marketing projects from strategy to execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and audience engagement. The ideal candidate is an organized, strategic thinker who excels at collaboration, communication, and project management, with a passion for the photography industry.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Campaign Management
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive marketing project plans, including setting timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple campaigns.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope by proactively analyzing and resolving challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflows and enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Route projects for necessary internal and external approvals, ensuring branding, messaging, and creative align with company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and event teams to ensure alignment and consistency across campaigns.

Community Engagement & Content Development
  • Create engaging content to foster community development and retain attendees and audiences for WPPI and other Photo Group brands.
  • Maintain an ongoing connection between the photography community and Emerald's PHOTO brands, ensuring marketing efforts reflect industry trends and audience needs.
  • Run and maintain communication within online groups (e.g., Facebook communities), actively engaging with members, facilitating discussions, and nurturing a sense of community to enhance year-round participation.
  • Work closely with content creators, designers, and marketing teams to develop compelling messaging and visuals for campaigns.

Speaker & Instructor Liaison
  • Act as the key contact between speakers/instructors and the marketing team, ensuring smooth collaboration and maximizing promotional opportunities.
  • Support speakers with marketing guidance, content development, and promotional materials, helping them drive attendance and engagement.
  • Ensure speaker promotions align with the overall event and brand marketing strategy.

Exhibitor Marketing Support
  • Manage and maintain exhibitor marketing needs, ensuring sponsors and exhibitors have the tools, resources, and visibility to maximize their event success.
  • Develop exhibitor-focused marketing materials and assist with pre-show promotions and on-site activations.

Strategic Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to define target markets, campaign objectives, and marketing strategies that drive event registration, community engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Oversee and facilitate project production stages, ensuring all deliverables undergo proper reviews, approvals, and distribution.
  • Provide performance insights and report on key marketing metrics, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $80,000-85,000

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate's qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
