Position Summary

The Corporate Tax Manager's duties encompass the oversight of all income tax-related operations for Arrow International, Inc. and related entities. This includes collaborating closely with the finance and accounting team playing a pivotal role in ensuring the punctual and precise reporting of financial tax data.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and submission of U.S. and Canadian federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns prepared by outside accounting firms.
  • Manage external tax advisors' timely preparation of our global income tax provision and compliance, ensuring completeness and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for tax reporting.
  • Oversee the review and reconciliation of tax accounts, resolve discrepancies and correct accounting as applicable.
  • Respond to tax audits, inquiries, and investigations from tax authorities.
  • Perform tax research as necessary to complete assigned tasks/projects.
  • Manage estimated payment calculations, payments and compliance filings for U.S. Federal, State, and international jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize audit exposure.
  • Conduct internal tax reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure the alignment of tax strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and nexus filing requirements at the state and local levels.
  • Develop and implement opportunities for process standardization and improvement in tax procedures.


Requirements

Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA and/or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a combined public accounting and corporate tax environment
  • Excellent knowledge of tax compliance, and tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Also, knowledge or the ability to learn Canadian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong analytic abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Able to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced and continuously developing work environment
  • M&A experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, communication, and collaboration in a team environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
