Introduction
The Alternatives Systems Team is responsible for supporting and providing advanced tools to analyze, book, price, and risk manage a broad spectrum of products and assets used by the Asset Allocation, Commodities and Hedge Funds Investment teams. In addition this team supports Fixed Income, Equity, Commodity, and Currency OTC derivatives used throughout the firm's portfolio management, trading, and operations. Members of the Alternatives team play critical roles in firm's success by providing proprietary technology solutions and supporting vendor applications which assist in complex investment decision-making, streamline trading, reduce operational risk, and improve efficiency.

The Lead Systems Analyst, Alternatives Systems will be responsible for the IT support for the users of our Derivatives platform across multiple business lines and will provide business analysis on multiple ongoing and new initiatives related to derivative infrastructure across all asset classes.
Success in this position requires knowledge of derivative instruments and derivative investment process, a solid understanding of a broad range of technology solutions, and outstanding client management skills.

Responsibilities
*Work closely with investment and trading professionals to understand business problems and to create effective technical solutions.
*Work closely with members of the our IT teams. Actively participate in the analysis of requirements, design, test, deployment, and support of new technology solutions.
*Be an "expert" in the our firm's derivative infrastructure
*Stay abreast of the "state of the art" as it relates to investment practice, both within the firm and throughout the industry.
Qualifications
*Minimum of five years of experience in the investment industry, with a minimum of three years in a systems role related to one or more of the following areas: derivatives, equity, fixed income
*Demonstrated client focus and relationship management skills.
*Solid understanding of fixed income and equity derivative instruments, knowledge of quantitative concepts, and related front-office investment processes.
*Previous experience acting in a business analysis capacity, including knowledge of software requirements gathering processes.
*Practical knowledge of quantitative and analytical aspects of one or more of the following markets: Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives
*Previous experience with Calypso, or similar vendor Derivatives system is required.
*Hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational database technology.
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
*Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical production environment.
*Strong delivery focus and ability to overcome obstacles.
*Bachelor's degree is required.
*CFA charter, or work towards one is strongly preferred.
