Scrum Master Project Manager (CSM)

Our 50-person Project Management Office team in Technology is looking for someone with the flexibility to work collaboratively and independently who can be persuasive and motivating and attentive to detail-while always keeping an eye on the big picture.

Responsibilities:

• Guiding the team on how to use agile/scrum practices and values while maintaining the firm's culture and spirit
• Facilitating scrum meetings, including the daily standup, sprint planning, and sprint retrospective
• Helping the team to self-organize and self-direct
• Removing impediments or guiding the team to do so by finding the right personnel
• Working closely with the business analyst and product owner to organize and prioritize backlog
• Supporting the team through a servant leadership style
• Providing scrum master services to multiple teams concurrently (usually about 2 teams)
• Providing traditional project management support for some projects that may not be done using agile/scrum

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience as a scrum master
• Must be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Prior experience working in an environment transitioning from traditional project management (waterfall methodology) to an agile environment (scrum)
• Prior experience working with multiple scrum teams on a single project is a plus
• 2-5 years of project management experience a plus
• Experience working independently, as well as in a team-oriented collaborative environment
• Strong, clear communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Persuasive, adaptable, encouraging, and motivating
• An independent learner and self-starter
• An eye for detail but able to see the big picture
• A background in financial services is a plus
