Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Ability to evaluate, implement and manage data communications infrastructure, Internet and Intranet infrastructure, WAN, LAN and wireless networks and network applications.
Knowledge and experience of maintaining of load balancer devices like GSS (Global site selector for global load sharing) & ACE (load sharing inside the Data centers)
Knowledge and understanding of DNS, DHCP.
Strong understanding and extensive experience with Network protocols /services/technologies like T1, OSI, TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ATM, Frame-Relay, IP Sec, NAT and MPLS
Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate use.
Hand on Experience in Checkpoint Firewalls Administration
Web application firewall configuration Policy configuration
Experience Required Experience in Web content filtering policy management
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.
Establish service level agreements with end users.
Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organizations network.
Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
Assess, approve, and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades
Experience with Network documentation and monitoring tools such as Visio, HP Network Node Manager, Solar winds, PRTG, Sniffer, MRTG and Cisco Works.
Should be able to recommend adjustments to a wide variety of complex network management functions with responsibility for overall performance and availability of Networks.
Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices and fiber switches.
Administer FC switches as well as blade chassis FC devices.
Execute FC zoning for development and production storage volumes.
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
Define and document best practices and support procedures
Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
DHCP & DNS administration.
Monitor & Test server performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.
Asset management
Roles & Responsibilities Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Experience in a LAN/WAN and multi-platform environment including Cisco Routers, multilayer switches, Cisco & Meraki products, ASA, Load balancers and Intrusion Detection systems is a MUST.
Experience in Command Center/ Network Operations Center is a big plus.
Generic Managerial Skills Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.
Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organizations executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network activities.
Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
Salary Range: $86,000-$90,000 a year
