We are seeking an experienced Turbine Durability Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team in East Hartford, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gas turbine durability, with a focus on structural analysis. This role is integral to ensuring the reliability and performance of our aerospace products, particularly those aligned with Pratt and Whitney standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural durability analyses on turbine components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Interpret and apply part blueprints, with a thorough understanding of ASME Y14.5M standards.
- Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to conduct detailed stress, vibration, and fatigue analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize turbine component design for durability and reliability.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Utilize MS Office suite to develop and maintain documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and mistake-proofing initiatives to enhance product reliability.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience, ideally within gas turbine durability.
- Proficiency working with Pratt and Whitney Aerospace products and standards.
- Familiarity with GTF Engine Compressor/Turbine Rotors hardware is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of gas turbine engine operating theory.
- Experience with standard operating procedures, root-cause analysis, and mistake-proofing techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Must meet requirements under ITAR and EAR regulations (US citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee status).
