Team Intro:
The User Business Operations (UBO) team in US Data Security (USDS) plays a key role in supporting business operations, compliance initiatives, and process efficiencies across various functions. We are seeking an Events Project Manager specializing in Events and Webinars to join our team. This role will provide expert guidance on off-platform compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to internal policies for both in-person and digital events. The Events Project Manager will play a pivotal role in mitigating risks, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to streamline event compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on event compliance and best practices for various event formats.
- Ensure alignment with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support compliance efforts.
- Assist in refining compliance processes and documentation.
- Identify potential risks and recommend solutions.
- Contribute to training and awareness efforts related to event compliance.
- Support ongoing improvements in event governance and risk tracking.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Compliance, Law, or a related field and 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, event operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, data privacy laws, and corporate compliance best practices.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment with teams such as Legal, Risk & Compliance, and Operations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and develop practical solutions.
- Strong communication and training skills to educate teams on compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with global compliance frameworks and event planning regulations.
- Knowledge of webinar and digital event platforms and their associated compliance requirements.
- Previous experience working in a centralized compliance or event governance role.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
