JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Regional Sales Manager - West
Location: Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, California
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to expand market share within a $30M+ territory.
- Dealer Management: Matrix manage an indirect sales channel through a dealer network of seven sales professionals while identifying opportunities to expand direct sales.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding customer relationships and revenue streams.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging end-to-end manufacturing solutions, software, and automation offerings.
- Sales Team Collaboration: Provide leadership, training, and support to the sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Market Expansion: Increase regional presence by developing strategic partnerships, attending industry events, and leveraging market insights.
- Sales Performance & Reporting: Monitor and track sales performance, providing regular updates and insights to leadership.
- Travel Expectation: 50-75% travel required within the region to meet customers and attend industry events.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Location: Must currently reside in the Western U.S. (Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, California) (relocation candidates will not be considered).
- Experience: 5+ years in sales management within industrial manufacturing, sheet metal processing, or automation.
- Sales & Business Development: Proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing new business opportunities.
- Channel & Dealer Management: Experience managing indirect distribution networks and direct sales teams.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to guide and develop sales professionals while effectively managing dealer relationships.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production solutions.
- Strategic Thinking: More than just a deal chaser-someone who understands long-term business growth strategies.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and close high-value deals.
COMPENSATION + BENEFITS
- Base Salary: $60,000 - $130,000 (dependent on experience)
- Targeted Total Compensation: $160,000 - $200,000 (including uncapped, tiered commissions paid quarterly)
- Car Allowance: $650/month + mileage reimbursement
- Travel Expenses: Company credit card provided for business-related travel

- Sales Team Expansion: Assess and recommend hiring of additional direct sales representatives based on market opportunities.
