BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
A psychotherapist in Lincoln Public Schools; provides coaching, consultation, crisis intervention, advocacy with community agencies, school personnel, and others as needed. Psychotherapists communicate on a regular basis with the student's team and provide necessary documentation.
Performs the following tasks:
2024-2025 Salary: $46.12/hour (2025-2026 salary is pending board approval).

REQUIREMENTS:
- Education Level: Master's degree in psychology or related field
- Certification: Licensed mental practitioner or Master's degree in psychology or related field; licensure from Health Department
- Experience Desired: Desired experience or knowledge of programs or other agencies serving children/youth with severe emotional/behavioral issues.
- Other Requirements: Desire to work as part of an educational team. Behavior Intervention training will be provided.

Performs the following tasks:
- Provide therapy to meet student needs in individual and group settings.
- Educate, share and present knowledge/skills on mental illness.
- Communicate with students, families, administrators, teachers and community agencies.
- Provide documentation of phone logs, communication with students, families, administrators, teachers, and community agencies, therapy sessions and other individual crisis management plans
- Provide consultation/coaching for students, NEC staff and home attendance school staff.
- Provide, teach and reteach life skills, social skills, crisis intervention, strategies and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to process that includes mediation/problem solving.
- Facilitate, develop and maintain behavior intervention plans, functional behavior assessments and safety plans.
- Collaborate with outside agencies to provide documentation and receive supports for students and families.
- Participate in meetings, as requested
- Provide supervision of students, as assigned by administrator.
- Participate to define a student's present levels of performance, provide documentation as needed.
- Maintain a safe educational environment for students, staff and community members
- Other duties as assigned.
