This critical role will be responsible for driving key operational processes, including forecasting, budgeting, annual operating plan (AOP) planning, headcount management, and tracking HR recruitment efforts within the Engineering organization. You will partner closely with Engineering leadership, Finance, HR, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and drive results.
What You Will Do
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts for the Engineering organization, including budget planning, variance analysis, and reporting. Collaborate with finance to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Planning: Lead the development and execution of the annual operating plan for Engineering, defining key initiatives, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
- Headcount Management: Manage the Engineering headcount process, including forecasting hiring needs, tracking open requisitions, and collaborating with HR on resource planning. Develop and maintain headcount reporting and analytics.
- HR Recruitment Tracking: Work closely with the HR recruiting team to track the progress of engineering hires, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to improve hiring efficiency. Analyze recruitment data and provide insights to Engineering leadership.
- Operational Excellence: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within Engineering Operations. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Engineering leadership, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on operational goals and initiatives.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders on program status, risks, and opportunities. Prepare and deliver regular reports on key metrics and initiatives.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Finance); MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in program management, operations, or a related field, with a focus on financial planning, budgeting, and headcount management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and delivering results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably within a technology or engineering organization.
- Proficiency in financial planning and budgeting tools (e.g., Excel, financial planning software).
- Experience with HR recruitment tracking systems and processes is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate others
