Role:
Responsible for conducting all relevant analysis to prioritize opportunities, identify the most compelling value proposition for each individual National Account customer and develop tailored strategies and materials needed to convert and/or penetrate with each customer. This includes, but is not limited to, areas such as procurement modeling, cost of goods (COGs), logistics, margin components, and pricing.
Role Responsibilities:
- Key stakeholder for national account market basket work; responsible for all activities related to market baskets, item matching and optimization.
- Identifies and negotiates scope of work and timelines, project managing completion and accuracy, and proactively shares any challenges to VPNA and Segment Leadership.
- Develops strategies, creates analytical tools, and defines processes that enable the sales organization to effectively measure the impact of pricing as a strategic driver of business results across the multi-unit account landscape. Works cross functionally to automate or improve existing processes to streamline accuracy and performance.
- Responsible for all market basket templates, timelines, and quality of work. Develops and monitors key metrics to ensure continuous improvement of department processes and procedures. Develops ideas and tools to improve usability of Sysco's internal data sources. Works cross functionally to automate or improve existing processes to streamline accuracy and performance.
- Acts as a thought leader and decision maker for assigned national account segment; responsible for all activities related to customer pricing strategy. Includes analysis of business threats, communication of proactive opportunities, significant direct customer interaction and presentation at the senior executive level, and elevation of issues to VP National Accounts (VPNA) and Segment Leadership.
- Conducts all relevant analysis and validate complex sales and penetration opportunities submitted by National Sales team.
- Works with National Sales to proactively approach National Accounts customers to influence sales decisions.
- Grows percentage mix of sourced and Sysco brand products within the corporate multi-unit (CMU) customer channel.
- Develops tailored strategies and materials needed to convert and/or penetrate with each customer, areas such as procurement modeling, cost of goods (COGs), logistics, margin components, and pricing.
- Uses market intelligence to create market relevant sales quotations.
- Executes corporate partnership strategies to drive core assortment (Sysco Brand and Sourcing) growth.
- Ensures termination of merchandising purchase agreements are still in place.
- Participates in National Accounts sales training.
- Participates in General Sales meeting's (GSM's) to support category growth aligned with Corporate and Regional direction.
- Works with Marketing and Business Resource team on customer facing National Accounts opportunities.
- Involvement with Sourcing and National account customers on product lotting etc.
- Works with Regional Merchandising and National Sales teams on execution of initiatives and compliance.

- Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
- 5+ years of progressive industry relevant experience with emphasis on areas such as report development, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, and financial modeling.
- Bachelor's Degree in required specialization in Accounting, Business, or Finance or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience in healthcare sector and/or senior living required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Cognos, writing and executing data queries using SQL, Python, etc.
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with vendors and internal departments to drive sales, resolve issues and create a competitive advantage.
- Possesses strong negotiation, organizational, decision making and presentation skills.
- High degree of integrity and accountability; handles significant amount of proprietary information and process. Trust is essential.
- Capable of indirectly leading, must have the ability to look for innovation and innovative approaches, opportunities and identify solutions for complex or unique problems.
- Equally adept at working independently with little direction as working on team environment. Role requires flexibility in working style.
- Ability to convey complicated, detailed information in a concise and effective manner to internal and external stakeholders, at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition, i.e., conflicts/ambiguity and during negotiations.
- Must have solid understanding of products within their category as it pertains to features & benefits, advantages, category trends, and Vendors associated with their category.
- Collaborative and able to work across business functions (e.g. Category management, Sourcing, VP's National Accounts).
