Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Required Board Certification Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner currently licensed without
restrictions in the state of Texas
* Evaluation and management of new patients, requiring: a comprehensive history; a
comprehensive examination; and medical decision-making of high complexity
* Evaluation and management of established patients, requiring: a comprehensive history; a
comprehensive examination; medical decision-making of high complexity
* Weigh the risks and benefits of initiating treatment with psychotherapeutic medications
* Conduct comprehensive multi-informant, multi-modal, multi-disciplinary assessments
* Conduct psychotherapy with teens and adolescents
* Routine monitoring for medication benefits and side-effects
* Provide comprehensive assessments, psychoeducation, and clearly defined treatment
expectations for different diagnosis such as ADHD, Behavioral, Anxiety, Insomnia, Depressive or
Obsessive Compulsive Disorders
* Consider co-morbid developmental language disorder, Specific Learning Disorder or Autism
Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Provide parent management/skills training or other behavioral interventions that can be used at
home and/or school
* Medication assisted treatments for ADHD, Anxiety, Depressive and Obsessive Compulsive
Disorders
* Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family
members in order to efficiently address treatment concerns
Qualifications Required:
* PMHNP with a collaborating physician (Required)
* DEA Certification
* At least one year of experience with child and adolescent assessment
* Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
* Hours of operation: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
* Unbeatable work-life balance with no weekend office hours
* Strictly outpatient care with privately insured, private pay patients
