- The "Business Development -- Silicon Photonics technologist" role is strategic leadership position, working with the sales, application engineering, and product development teams to grow our Silicon Photonics / Optical test market segment.
- By partnering with key customers in the optical space, you will become a trusted advisor to the customer in providing the best-in-industry optical test solutions.
- Key activities: Identifying good technical matches between customer devices and Advantest ATE solutions, architect the test solutions for these devices, and support the technical sale of the solutions.
- Success in this role is measured by new design wins for the ATE solution, which promote business growth within key customers.
- An ideal position for an experienced Semiconductor industry leader or with strong marketing skills and knowledge of the co-packaged optic or general Photonics IC market.
Responsibilities include:
- Technical device analysis and understanding of the various elements of optical transceiver design and test, especially as it applies to co-packaged optics.
- Gap analysis, reviewing the fit of available ATE solutions to the target customer devices.
- Creating detailed, working relationships, and open communication with senior managers within Advantest and the customer.
- Technical presentation and whitepaper development, for customer introduction to digital ATE solutions.
- Market and test requirement trend analysis.
- Mapping top-down sales objectives to target device and design wins, partnering with Advantest business units to achieve these objectives.
Travel:
- Approximately 20% travel to various customer and Advantest sites, when possible.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science or equivalent
- 5 years experience and technical competency in digital semiconductor testing, on any ATE test platform
- Nice-to-have: experience with Quantify Photonics or Keysight optical equipment.
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-facing skills.
- Understanding of the semiconductor lifecycle, and associated assembly and test value chain.
