Description:
We are looking for a Network Engineer (field) to join the Customer Advocacy team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience of installing and supporting network solutions. Ideally a candidate will have experience working with:
You will be able to:
- Multicast Video Streaming
- Peer to Peer Video Streaming
- Video Caching
You will be able to:
- Support installation of our video networking solutions at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to agreed specifications
- Provide when needed on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and debug issues
- Provide Technical Support remotely for the firm's customer install base
- Assists Customers with preventive maintenance procedures that will help maintain our solution in their network
- Lead customer facing projects such as training, documentation and exhibitions
- Articulate both the firm's technology and product positioning to business and technical users
- Work closely with 2nd Level Support to ensure local install base is maintained to company standards
- Serve as the technical authority for our Video Networking solutions.
- Complete responsibility for the successful development and delivery of Customer installations, including gathering of Customer requirements, building the POC to meet expectations in a timely manner, and onboarding the final solution.
- Capable of thriving in a high-demand technical environment while successfully juggling responsibilities and deliverables across several simultaneous projects
- Work closely with Sales Representatives and Technical Account Managers to provide support in eliminating any technical obstacles
- Candidate will be asked on occasion to assist other Ramp teams as needed with activities including but not limited to:
- Setting up Product Evaluations
- Internal and External Product Documentation
- Product Prototype Design and Development
- Bachelor Degree required, B.S. in Computer-related field preferred
- 3+ years of professional experience with end-user enterprise software solutions
- Strong experience installing, configuring and administering LAN/WAN technologies.
- Experience configuring and using network management and analytics tools, network tapping, and protocol analysis
- Strong knowledge and background of working with eCDN or Networking Solutions, of particularly interest are: Multicast, Peer to Peer and CDN technologies for video delivery
- Knowledge of administrating SharePoint 2013/O365 is also a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Experience with back-end technologies, including but not limited to: Java 1.6+, C#, SQL and Windows/Linux administration
