This role is responsible for leading the Account Manager team for Healthcare and Senior Living for the East Region (Ontario & Quebec) with a focus on increasing sales through penetration of existing accounts and identifying new sales opportunities. Contributes to operational efficiency and achieving KPIs. Builds and maintains strong partnerships with customer accounts and develops relationships built on trust with key contacts is an essential responsibility of this position. Additionally, this position is accountable for ensuring compliance with respect to contractual obligations between all customers and the Sysco.

Role:
This role is responsible for leading the Account Manager team for Healthcare and Senior Living for the East Region (Ontario & Quebec) with a focus on increasing sales through penetration of existing accounts and identifying new sales opportunities. Contributes to operational efficiency and achieving KPIs. Builds and maintains strong partnerships with customer accounts and develops relationships built on trust with key contacts is an essential responsibility of this position. Additionally, this position is accountable for ensuring compliance with respect to contractual obligations between all customers and the Sysco.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and coaching to Account Managers to ensure sales goals/targets are achieved and performance levels are maintained. Assigns accounts to Account Managers as required.
- Develops and maintains rapport and a strong partnership with national customers by maintaining regular communication either in person or by phone, identifying customer needs, and providing excellence in customer service.
- Service level readiness - leverages Sysco capabilities to maximize stability and predictability for national chain customers.
- Works in collaboration with the VPNA, sets the service standards for each concept across Canada. Responsible for the coordination and alignment of service execution to National Sales Customers.
- Participates in the preparation of monthly period end reports and annual budget as it pertains to National accounts.
- Monitors category and account performance on all contracts.
- Works with all departments within the site to ensure product knowledge and promotional product purchasing and availability supports our contract commitments.
- Liaises with national VP National Account's, Directors, National Account Manager's, Key Account Representatives (KARs) & Contract Sales Consultants (SCs) where appropriate.
- Assists with the implementation of new processes, procedures and tools and ensures understanding within team.
- Supports Account Managers with additional customer communication if required.
- Reviews Accounts Receivable status with Account Managers.
- Assists in business recovery where required.
- Utilizes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (Sysco 360) as a communication and measurement tool.
- Accountable for the accuracy of timecards, approvals, and scheduling of direct reports
- Develops and supports high performing talent through hiring, scheduling, performance coaching, and career management practices
- Facilitates the establishment of clear performance goals; Ensures that performance goals adapt to changing business demands; Identifies and manages non-performers in a fair and timely way; Identifies and rewards top performance; links pay and performance through base, incentive, and recognition programs.
- Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.
- Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.
- Enables, champions and embraces an inclusive culture.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
- Minimum of three (3+) years' work experience in a sales role.
- Minimum of three (3+) years' experience in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in healthcare or senior living required
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a business-related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other sales and/or industry specific programs.
- Excellent communication skills using negotiation processes and gaining agreement with others.
- Formal presentation experience to small and large groups.
- Embraces change and champions corporate initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor peers and associates.
- Flexible; readily accepts change; open to innovative ideas.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and reliable vehicle. Some travel may be required including within Ontario and Quebec
- Bilingualism required in French and English
