Job Description
Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
Job Specialty: Echocardiology
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, start times between 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 3 years
License: Willing to obtain required license if not already held
Certifications: RDCS or RCS, Active BLS from American Heart Association
Must-Have: Pediatric echocardiography experience
Job Description:
- Perform inpatient and outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms for both adult and pediatric patients.
- Conduct occasional stress echocardiograms and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms.
- Utilize equipment such as Philips Epiqs, Affinity series, IE33s, GE E95, and Vived E9.
- Use reporting systems including Epiq Cupid and Sectra Cardiology PACS.
- Rotate between clinic and hospital settings across two separate campuses; orientation starts for clinics and then moves to the hospital.
- Participate in a call rotation: staffed/call one weekend per month and one day every other week.
- Work in a 500-bed hospital with 5 outpatient clinic rooms.
- Comply with dress code: Grey scrubs or provided light blue scrubs.
- Ensure all required documentation is correctly sent and processed for quick licensing approval.
This role requires a dynamic professional willing to adapt to shifts in both clinic and hospital settings, with a commitment to maintaining high standards in echocardiography practices and patient care.
