Job/Position Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of controls software for Mechatronic systems from concept to production, using tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Design and develop physics-based models, sensor characterization, diagnostics, and robust controls.
  • Develop vehicle dynamics algorithms for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs), including safety preconditions.
  • Establish learning routines for Production End-of-Line optimization.
  • Hands-on experience in software validation through unit testing, Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing, bench testing, and in-vehicle testing to ensure system reliability.
  • Create tools for testing and data processing, including ECU/dyno integration for durability testing, end-of-line validation, CAN validation, and data visualization.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of control systems.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university with 3+ Years Automotive Experience
  • Specialization in classical and modern control disciplines with vehicle application
  • Embedded software experience
  • Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA
  • Demonstrated technical problem solving
  • Strong overall knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functions
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, development, testing, calibration and/or validation
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills
