Description:
Responsibilities to include:
* Working on and leading a design team from initial studies and design through construction management projects.
* Working throughout the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater industry.
* Supervise and provide technical direction to a team of junior and mid-level engineers.
* Be responsible for design tasks commensurate with experience
* On multiple concurrent projects, serve as the main point of contact for the client, contractors, and staff
* Work with the team in making decisions regarding technical approaches, cost control, schedule control, change management, risk and claims management, and project performance.
* Actively manage and report on the status of the project schedule and budget.
* Lead project meetings with client and stakeholders.
* Develop, review, and approve written deliverables.
* Position will lead to increasing levels of client development and management, supported by other local, regional and corporate staff.
Job Requirements
Minimum professional qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Bachelor's Degree in civil/environmental engineering or a related field
* Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
* Strong organizational and proven problem-solving skills
* PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months
* Desired experience is 10-15 years in the water field
* Preferred professional qualifications:
* Master's Degree in environmental engineering
* Background in business development
* Significant experience with public utilities
