Job Title: Radiology Technologist
Job Specialty: Radiology
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in a hospital setting
License: State Licensure required - MRT by TMB
Certifications: Radiography (R) by ARRT, BLS required
Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other approved equivalent; Basic computer experience
Job Description:
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
- Provide support for other imaging technologists and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and participate in Quality Assurance (QA).
- Resolve image processing and archiving system issues.
- Participate in ongoing education, safety protocols, and technical advancements.
- Adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
- Demonstrate appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff growth and exceptional physician satisfaction.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adapt patient care methods to accommodate unique needs.
- Comply with policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Perform exams/procedures to assist in patient throughput within the scope of the manager's license and competencies.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working different shifts and assisting at various campuses.
- Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate issues to the administrator if needed.
- Report equipment malfunctions and perform follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
