Job Purpose
Albany's corporate Finance team is seeking a Domestic Tax Manager who will support the Tax Senior Manager and be an integral member of the tax function. As the Domestic Tax Manager, you will support all aspects of the Company's domestic tax function, including compliance and returns, sales and use tax management, acquisitions and integrations, provisions and financial statement disclosures, and other ad-hoc tax projects.

- Assist the Senior Tax Manager with the domestic quarterly and annual tax provision and the preparation of income tax footnotes in accordance with US GAAP.
- Prepare U.S. Federal and State Return to Provision calculations.
- Manage the preparation of the consolidated federal tax return and state and local tax returns to ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Manage the sales and use tax compliance process, including the management of sales and use tax audits.
- Manage and coordinate all US federal and state income tax audits.
- Prepare Federal partnership tax return and corresponding workpapers
- Review Federal & State quarterly income tax estimates and extension
- Manage / Review state tax notices and all state tax correspondence
- Continuously monitor and identify tax law and accounting changes that have an impact on the company.
- Supervise and mentor direct report.

Qualifications/Characteristics
- CPA, with Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax related discipline
- 5+ years' experience, preferably within a Big Four public accounting firm and/or a multi-national public company global tax department
- Technical expertise in U.S. GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740) and Sarbanes Oxley 404 concepts for public multi-national companies
- Experience with U.S. federal, state and local tax compliance in a global structure; including review of returns and supporting workpapers, audit defense, as well as planning and risk reduction strategies
- Experience with indirect tax (sales & use tax)
- Experience serving in a role supervising at least one direct report
- Strong interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to perform well under pressure and work on multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in tax technology and data automation tools (e.g. Onesource Tax Provision, Onesource Income Tax, Alteryx, UiPath, etc.)
- Experience with U.S. tax due diligence efforts as well as post-acquisition planning and integration efforts, including addressing the tax accounting impact of transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures, a plus
