Full-Time Remote School Psychologist (South Carolina)

Type: Hourly, Full-Time
Pay: $45.00-51.00/hour

Join our team as a Virtual School Psychologist, where you'll provide teletherapy and remote psychological services to students across the state. This position involves conducting assessments, offering counseling, and collaborating with teachers and parents to support student well-being. Out of state applicants will only be considered if actively licensed in South Carolina as a school psychologist. School Psychologist Interns will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct remote psychological assessments, including behavioral and emotional assessments, to identify students' needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support student well-being and academic success.
  • Provide virtual counseling services for students facing personal, social, academic, or behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' academic and personal development.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and develop strategies to manage immediate emotional and behavioral crises.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on mental health, behavior management, and creating supportive learning environments.
  • Maintain documentation and records in compliance with privacy regulations and ethical standards.
  • Use telehealth and educational technology platforms to deliver services effectively.

Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active School Psychologist licensure/Certification from the Department of Education.
  • Experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents in educational contexts.
  • Familiarity with virtual counseling, teletherapy platforms, and secure data management practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families in a virtual setting.
  • Understanding of cultural, socioeconomic, and educational diversity to support inclusive practices.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:
  • Demonstrated experience with virtual platforms and digital tools for assessments and therapy.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students and families in an online environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including IDEA and FERPA.
  • High level of organizational skills, with an emphasis on documentation and tracking student progress remotely.
