Position Summary
The 340B Program Director is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the 340B Drug Pricing Program within the organization. This role ensures full compliance with program requirements while leading the planning, implementation, and execution of all 340B related initiatives at Orlando Health. The director is tasked with optimizing program benefits and fostering effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities: policy and procedure development, staff education, monitoring regulatory guidance, overseeing program registration and recertification, conducting self-assessments and external audits, managing contracts, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving continuous program enhancement, including growth strategies, and working to design automation and process enhancements.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Ensures compliance with state and federal 340B drug pricing regulations.
Leads strategy development, execution, and monitoring of the 340B program.
Manages annual HRSA/OPA registration and recertification.
Oversees internal and external compliance assessments and audits to mitigate liabilities, risks, duplicate discounts, and diversion.
Facilitates 340B Steering Committee and program-related meetings.
Serves as the finance liaison, developing and presenting reports on 340B participation, including utilization, savings, issues, and discrepancies.
Prepares and monitors budget variances, drug spend analysis, and financial forecasting.
Analyzes departmental changes impacting the budget and adjusts accordingly.
Develops, updates, and enforces 340B policies and procedures in alignment with legal guidelines.
Ensures policies optimize productivity and minimize costs and operational barriers.
Maintains expertise through external engagement and monitoring OPA publications and case law.
Acts as the primary contact for internal departments, external pharmacies, and third-party vendors on 340B matters.
Collaborates with compliance teams and consultants to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
Conducts, documents, and oversees self-audits and contract pharmacy audits, ensuring remediation of findings.
Identifies cost-saving and business improvement opportunities in 340B contract pharmacy utilization and system efficiency.
Demonstrates exemplary communication skills with all audiences.
Manages daily operations, compliance, and billing for clinic-administered medications, split-billing software, and outpatient prescriptions.
Troubleshoots pharmacy billing issues and ensures adequate system checks.
Participates in staff meetings to address and communicate changes.
Builds strong stakeholder relationships to support organizational goals.
Oversees personnel management and staff development within the 340B program.
Manages HR functions, including hiring, assignments, coaching, and performance reviews.
Maintains consistent attendance per Orlando Health policies and federal regulations.
Ensures compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Pharmacy degree (Bachelor's degree or PharmD) is required.
Master's degree in relevant field (e.g.; healthcare administration, business administration) is preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certification
Must be a licensed Pharmacist with unincumbered license(s)
A licensed Florida Board of Pharmacy as a consultant Pharmacist, is preferred.
Experience
3 years' experience in 340B administration, audit, healthcare, pharmacy purchasing, data analysis, or healthcare inventory management
required.
Proficiency with pertinent computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
