Description:
Working directly with the Director of the Program Management Office (PMO) the End-to-End Trading Program Manager will execute and facilitate as well as aid in the directing of strategy, business analysis, resource allocation and project management for the End to End Trading Initiative at the firm - a multi-year program designed to transform and extend the firm's end-to-end trading solutions including order management to settlement across all asset classes. The Program Manager will partner with stakeholders at all levels, leveraging a deep knowledge of the asset management industry and trading to deliver industry leading solutions (considering tools, data and workflows) aligned with the strategic vision and corporate goals of the firm. Initiatives managed will be multi-year, cross-functional efforts with significant resource and monetary investment. This position will be expected to oversee and manage the complete lifecycle of projects including oversight for all business, operations and technical efforts and related budgets. The Program Manager will institute an open and transparent communication environment for all project efforts across project team members, stakeholders and sponsors.
As a dependency to project success, the Program Manager will follow and champion the project management best practices and guideline as defined by the PMO. The Program Manager will participate in, and provided input to, the ongoing efforts to improve efficiency of the PMO team and project management functions. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Further the business goals of the the firm through the management of the End to End Trading program including people, process, tools and data initiatives. Display a detailed understanding for the business needs and objectives of trading functions and related internal business processes. Display a detailed understanding of best-of-bread trading tools and implementation lifecycles. Stay on top of current industry trends and help shape opportunities for trading solutions. Build strong relationships with the Investment and Trading functions globally; represent, champion and further the goals and opportunities of these organizations. Provide project management, prioritization, direction, and leadership to team members in order to accomplish defined project deliverables. Lead development and tracking of integrated project plans, issues lists, risks, dependencies etc. Manage and monitor all project deliverables to successful completion, leverage PMO best practices and complete project artifacts as appropriate. Work with project team to allocate resources appropriately. Review demand and capacity and be able to work out conflicts or reprioritize as needed. Actively communicate with project team members, sponsors, and stakeholders Create metrics to measure project success Conduct lessons learned meetings/surveys and analyze data and report to sponsor and team. Serve as a subject matter expert in the field of Project Management, maintaining a solid understanding of the field and its related technologies. Lead team of Project Managers also supporting End to End Trading; provide career development, direction and motivation to team. Provide ongoing coaching to team members. Perform additional duties as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Master's degree or equivalent preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. Proven experience delivering complete end to end trading solutions, on time and budget. Proven experience with 1 or many industry, best-of-breed, trading tools. Proven ability to align functional expertise and solutions to meet the changing demands of business teams. Fifteen or more (15+) years of related project management experience within the asset management industry. Practical experience leading strategic, cross-functional, multi-year projects through all phases of delivery. Strong interpersonal and management skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers. Proven experience leading and coaching project managers within an overall program. Extensive experience in project lifecycle management, feasibility analysis and conceptual design through development, implementation, training and rollout. Financial skills to manage project's operating and capital budgets. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and management skills. Experience designing and delivering presentations and training to diverse audiences, including senior management, administrative staff members, technical and non-technical personnel, and clients of the firm. Previous experience working within an Enterprise Program Management Office preferred Ability to work independently.
