Technical Project Manager
Bring your project management expertise to our team and support the delivery of business projects and programs-on schedule and to the client's complete satisfaction. Working with a business analyst and/or the business owner, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control,and completion of specific business projects primarily with our InfoSec team, ensuring consistency with the company's strategy, commitments, and goals.
As a project manager, your responsibilities would include:
  • Facilitating the definition of the project scope, milestones, goals, and deliverables
  • Working with the product owner to understand the project vision and gather and document high level business requirements which can be translated into key project activities
  • Defining project tasks and resource requirements from various in-house teams
  • Developing project plans at the task, milestone, and resource level
  • Collaborating with technical resources (DBAs, newtwork administrators, etc.) to break the project into proper phases and clearly identify deliverables for each phase
  • Tracking project against plan-anticipating events that may require a contingency plan, recommending corrective action, and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed
  • Ensuring that issues are properly identified, documented, tracked, and resolved
  • Providing management, direction, and support to the project team
The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following requirements:
Experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience/education working on technical projects of various sizes and complexity
  • Prior business analysis experience gathering and documenting high level business requirements, a plus
  • Prior experience working with Information Security (InfoSec), a plus
  • 2 to 5 years of direct technology experience focused on infrastructure systems (data center management, networking, system engineering, infrastructure architecture)
  • Experience working independently, as well as in a team-oriented collaborative environment
  • Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service, including analysis of issues for true root-cause resolution
  • Familiar with ITIL standards
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile project management methodology, a definite plus
  • Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS), beneficial
  • A background in financial services, a plus
