Audubon is currently seeking a Project Manager - Automation & Controls - to join our team in our Houston, TX office. The Project Manager - Automation & Controls leads automation and control system projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, profitability, and alignment with client objectives. This role serves as the primary client interface, manages project teams, and oversees schedules, budgets, and resource planning while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage automation and control system projects, driving execution and efficiency.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring project alignment and satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Lead engineering teams, providing guidance and resource allocation.
  • Oversee proposal development, including cost estimation and scope definition.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISA, NFPA, NEC, UL).
  • Facilitate internal and client meetings, providing project updates and risk management.
  • Support site installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Identify business opportunities and contribute to strategic planning.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • 8+ years of industry experience with 2+ years in project management.
  • Expertise in DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA, BMS, and SIS systems.
  • Preferred knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, VFDs, and UPS systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • Experience with scheduling, cost control, and procurement/vendor management.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Periodic travel to industrial client sites.
  • Exposure to industrial environments with potential safety hazards.
