Senior Accountant, Finance and Business Services

As aSenior Accountant,youreprimarily responsible for collecting, reconciling, and summarizing accounting information, entering data into different accounting software, and generating financial reports for international and grant recipient clients.

Responsibilites

• Month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Annual budgets and ad hoc reports
• Reviewing, approving, and monitoring accounts payable and receivables
• Vendor management, including due diligence and contracting
• Tracking restricted funder grants including monthly BvA reports
• Serving as the main point of contact for client financial needs:project management support, vendor and sub-grantee contracts,reporting, auditing, and preparing 990 and related tax forms
• Operational needs: liaising with internal departments such as IT and HR/Payroll

Qualifications

Qualifying for this role means you have abachelors degree in accountingorbusiness administrationand4+ years of experience inpublicand nonprofitaccounting.ACPA or CPA candidate is desirable. You should be proficient in the use of Excel,Office 365,QuickBooksOnlineand/or NetSuite, Bill.com, and banking platforms. Hands-onexperience with client relations, grant management and tracking, as well as international nonprofit organizations, ispreferred.

This is a full-timeposition and may be fully remote, with travel to headquarters in Washington, DC for team meetings on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in our Washington, DC headquarters office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $80,000 $85,000,depending on the experience you bring. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, youll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
