This is an opportunity to join HPE's world-class Global Communications team. With scores of communicators across the globe, we advocate for HPE's corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership. We're looking for a versatile executive communications manager, with the skill to oversee complex initiatives for one of our corporate functions, counsel senior executives and their teams, as well as implement high-powered executive communications and team member engagement strategies.
How you'll make your mark:
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and dynamic Executive Communications Manager to join our corporate communications organization. In this role, you will drive strategic and impactful executive communications for our Chief Financial Officer and team member communications within the Finance & Strategy organization.
The successful candidate for this role will be entrusted with driving an internal and external communications strategy and supporting the communications needs of our CFO as she engages with external audiences, customers, team members, and other key stakeholders. They will lead implementation of communication strategies to advance key priorities for the company and Finance & Strategy.

As a member of the Global Communications team, you'll work in a close-knit group of talented colleagues supporting strategic communications and the implementation of 360-degree communications plans. The team you'll join is high performing and offers many opportunities for stretch projects that add to overall career development.
You'll do well in this role if you have a growth mindset, a collaborative spirit, a strong bias for action, and can drive projects to completion with a high degree of independence. You'll have the opportunity and accountability for playing a critical role in shaping the communication strategy of our Finance & Strategy organization.

- Executive Communications Strategy
- Develop and implement a robust executive communications strategy that aligns with the Finance & Strategy organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to create clear, consistent, and compelling messages that resonate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all executive communications reflect the organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Creatively plan for agenda-setting events such as the organization's Vision Day across a matrix of partners.
- Content Development
- Craft high-quality speeches, presentations, talking points, and other communication materials for executive leaders.
- Lead in developing content for the CFO for internal speaking engagements and presentations.
- Produce engaging content for various channels, including the CFO's weekly organization email, social media, and external publications.
- Manage the creation and dissemination of executive communications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders on communication best practices and strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across the F&S, Global Communications and other organizations to ensure alignment and support for communication initiatives.
- Facilitate effective two-way communication between executive leaders and team members, promoting transparency and engagement.
- Media and Public Relations
- Collaborate with Global Communications colleagues to manage media relations and public appearances for executive leaders.
- Assist in preparing executives for media interviews, press conferences, and other public engagements.
- Metrics and Reporting
- Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of executive communications initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and insights to executive leaders on communication effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Continuously refine communication strategies based on feedback and performance data.
We are looking for someone who is/has:
- A creative thinker with an instinct to self-initiate action in ambiguous situations
- Adaptive, flexible mindset to pivot to meet evolving business and Global Communications needs
- Aptitude for mature executive presence, displaying comfort and confidence in providing communications counsel to all executive levels
- Superior writing skills, requiring little editing
- Project management skills with an ease of execution to see an initiative through from start to finish
- Diplomacy, listening skills, and a consultative mindset that builds trust and influence
- Collaborative orientation and ability to navigate a matrixed organization
- Ability to contribute to strategic communication plans and programs in a collaborative, effective way
- Advanced knowledge of team member communications methodologies, strategies, tools, and vehicles
- Interest in adding to an executive communications center of excellence with ideas and best practices
- Familiarity with developing methodologies to measure results tracking business communication objectives
- A willingness to lead on both major and minor points of implementation
- An interest in developing within a high-performing team
Qualifications:
- BA or BS in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing, strategy or related roles
- Prior corporate work experience or large agency experience is highly preferred
- Recent experience managing executive communication initiatives - including social media - in support of top executive leadership and/or the c-suite, with a global technology leader, is highly preferred
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as experience with Slack, MS Teams, and other team member engagement platforms
- Ability to be based in the greater Houston, Texas area
