- Structural Analysis Group Lead
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee the execution of multiple statements of work, ensuring project objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Manage timesheet and leave approvals, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Track project budgets and deliverables, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Monitor invoices and manage Cyient purchase orders (POs) for third-party contractor support.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, fostering team growth and expertise.
- Identify potential deliverable delays and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Structures, Project) and communicate effectively with customers to provide technical support.
- Drive continuous process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Structural Analysis & Technical Responsibilities:
- Utilize ANSYS and other analysis software to assess the structural integrity of static and rotating aerospace engine hardware.
- Mesh and solve 2D and 3D models using analysis software.
- Conduct modal and forced harmonic analysis to evaluate component performance.
- Analyze stress changes due to potential defects arising from manufacturing or field issues.
- Use proprietary lifing software to determine Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) and Fracture Mechanics Life (FM Life).
- Interpret aerospace drawings and specifications to understand material properties and defect descriptions.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports summarizing analysis findings to customers.
- Preferred Experience & Skills: (On-the-job training provided for proprietary software and processes.)
- Software Proficiency:
- ANSYS, Workbench, NX Sim
- CAD software (SolidWorks, UG/NX)
- Teamcenter and P&W ESW Applications
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint for redline creation, Outlook for requests)
- Python or other coding languages (a plus)
- Technical Expertise:
- Reading and interpreting technical prints
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Technical writing and documentation
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Education Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, including:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Material Science
- Power Generation / Power Plants
- Engineering Mechanics
- Stress Analysis
