Software Engineer Supervisor

Overview

Join our Systems Development team and help make a difference as a Software Engineer Supervisor.

This important role will be responsible for leading a team of developers to align technology solutions with business strategies to improve business processes within strategic system goals. You will also contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications while providing specialized technical or business knowledge to projects. This position will lead both project and functional management efforts during the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and will collaborate with other development related functional areas such as architecture, product management, and project management.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Several (7+ preferred) years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting web and desktop-based business applications.
• Several (5+ preferred) years of supervisory/management experience directly leading a software engineering and design group and managing people.
• Proficiency in the following technologies: .NET, Visual Studio, C#, HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS, SQL Server, XML, Web Services/APIs, Source Control, Power Platform, and PowerShell.
• Several years' experience developing cloud base solutions hosted in Azure utilizing cloud offerings.
• Experience participating on multi-discipline, high-performance work teams/groups in an Agile environment.
• Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership, with strong abilities in relationship management.
• Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

• Ability to architect a technical solution, including detailed written/visual documentation with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Supervisory or lead experience with the following domains: Application/Systems Development, Web Applications design/architecture and Application integration.
• Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience managing systems development in new computing architectures and environments; knowledge of relevant technology, tools, and middleware is critical, including development technologies and scripting languages.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business.
• Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; a demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans.
