We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee and manage logistics operations within the company. This position will involve close collaboration with the logistics team to ensure freight costs across strategic routes are aligned with market prices, as well as sourcing and implementing the best logistics solutions to optimize freight costs and minimize transit times. The role will require strong communication, negotiation, and people management skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The role requires travel to all Cryopak locations (US, Canada, and France) to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and operational efficiency. The position also requires bilingual proficiency in French and English, along with substantial experience in logistics and transportation management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and communicate with freight companies to ensure current rates on strategic routes are aligned with market prices.
- Source and identify optimal logistics solutions to reduce freight costs and minimize transit times, ensuring the most cost-efficient methods are employed.
- Oversee freight costs for multiple locations across the US, Canada, and France, ensuring accuracy and cost-efficiency.
- Analyze freight costs across various locations, comparing rates and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Negotiate with freight providers to secure favorable terms, including best quotes, volume discounts, and improved service levels.
- Collaborate closely with plant managers and logistics teams across Cryopak's various locations to coordinate efforts and optimize freight cost and quality.
- Review freight costs for key accounts quarterly and prepare detailed reports to ensure that costs are in alignment with market prices and result in savings.
- Provide innovative problem-solving solutions to address logistics challenges, ensuring the best service is achieved at the lowest cost.
- Oversee reverse logistics operations and ensure efficient management of returns and cost recovery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, including international freight and customs clearance processes.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the logistics team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant international and local regulations regarding customs, freight, and transportation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in logistics and transportation management.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with both internal teams and external freight providers.
- Analytical skills to evaluate transport costs, identify areas for optimization, and implement solutions.
- Experience in freight cost analysis, multi-location logistics management, and comparing rates across various providers.
- Problem-solving skills to develop innovative and cost-effective logistics solutions.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (both written and spoken).
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple logistics operations concurrently.
- Knowledge of reverse logistics processes and best practices.
- Knowledge of international freight, customs clearance, and related regulations would be an asset.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive collaboration.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work closely with plant managers, supply chain teams, and other internal stakeholders to optimize logistics and ensure the smooth flow of goods.
- Experience with logistics management software and systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Logistics, Transportation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs clearance, and import/export compliance.
- Experience in managing logistics operations across multiple countries, particularly the US, Canada, and France.
- Expertise in managing both inbound and outbound logistics, reverse logistics, and transportation management.
