Job Description:
- Supervise Psychology Assistant positions, including performance evaluations, scheduling, timekeeping, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Evaluate, authorize, and ensure compliance of resident plans, programs, treatments, therapies, and testing with professional and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement treatment programs for residents based on diagnoses, interactions, data analysis, and interdisciplinary team recommendations.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
- Serve as chairperson of the Human Rights Committee, reviewing and authorizing requests for restrictive measures and ensuring humane implementation.
- Conduct routine psychological evaluations, report results to interdisciplinary teams, and write portions of Individual Service Plans.
- Assess individuals for suicide precautions and determine the duration of such precautions.
- Participate in psychiatric drug review, admission/discharge, and technical assistance meetings, providing input to team members.
- Evaluate individuals for competency, communicate results to appropriate parties, and offer expert testimony.
- Train staff through new hire orientation, annual training, and home/individual-specific instruction.
- Attend conferences and training to maintain professional licensure and oversee psychology interns, providing feedback to educational institutions.
- Contribute to the development of facility or departmental policies related to psychological and behavioral issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
