Job Overview
The role of Subject Matter Expert III (Ship Installation Support) is to provide specific NIWC technical guidance for various projects within the Chesapeake Ops environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Provides day-to-day ISEA guidance and support to NIWC and other activities on multiple.
- Provides guidance to Fleet.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on interior communication systems, navigation systems, alarm sensing devices, and auxiliary power systems.
- Operate electronic test metering equipment, including multi-timer, voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, and oscilloscope.
- Testing external circuits of interior communications equipment for continuity, short circuit, and grounds and measured electrical quantities; reads and interprets schematic diagrams and blueprints of basic electronic and logic circuits.
- Isolate and repair malfunctions in common electronic/electrical.
- Performs related work as assigned in an unsupervised, reactive/mission critical.
- Works with customer in primarily a solitary environment.
- Attend meetings, provide briefings, and participate in working.
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within 12 months of hire date.
- Ten (10) years' technical experience in military, contracting, or commercial.
- Must have electronic systems troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug.
