Manufacturing Process Systems Engineer
-Develops, maintains, and evolves advanced data and hardware systems utilizing knowledge of manufacturing processes, software/hardware development, data analytics, systems engineering, quality control, and continuous improvement.
-Responsible for integrated software and hardware systems used to monitor, record, analyze, and report production data, performance metrics, and manufacturing quality information. Duties also include engineering support for thin-film high-vacuum processes, advanced process-control tools, manufacturing data systems, advanced materials, PVD, CVD, unit operations, complex metrology, as well as environment, health, and safety.
-This position reports to the Process Engineering Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing systems, software tools, and database applications utilizing knowledge of programming, DBMS, production/test equipment, production methods, quality control standards
  • Establishes and enhances process capabilities for new and existing products and processes
  • Collaborates with members of manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to deliver manufacturing excellence
  • Conceives and manages projects involving the definition and selection of new concepts and technology, to develop new or improve systems and processes
  • Responsible for assigned manufacturing value stream processes including provision of manufacturing execution methods, tools, problem solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Responds to operations floor process support needs as requested
  • Includes occasional off-shift telephone and remote access support for 24x7 manufacturing operation
  • Effectively leads and manages multiple projects simultaneously
  • Develops and implements process related training and development tools


Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

Required
  • 4+ years engineering experience in a related field
  • BS Engineering degree: Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related degree
  • Extensive programming experience in one or more of the following languages: C#, ASP.NET, R, JavaScript, Python, LabView, etc.
  • Must possess demonstrated data science engineering experience or data science degree
  • DBMS & business reporting tool experience in one or more of: SQL, Oracle, Tableau, OBIEE, Shiny, MES, etc.
  • Experience in data science, including data cleaning, reduction, processing, and visualization
  • Manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with design and development of software and hardware systems and tools
  • Strong software competency including MS Office and advanced Excel skills and experience using advanced programming to facilitate analyzing large amounts data imported from various sources


Preferred:
  • Experience with manufacturing quality systems: Lean, SPC, 6s, DFM, FMEA, 5S, 8D, QMS, NPI, etc.
  • Experience transitioning products from prototype development to robust systematized production
  • Experience improving manufacturing processes collaboratively with production staff and other departments
  • Experience with thin-film, high-vacuum processes
  • ISO9001, AS9100, and/or IATF16949 quality management systems experience
