Description:
The Food Ingredient Sales Director is responsible for managing annual product sales, achieving sales volume and profitability targets while leading a team of sales managers to greater professional success. Reporting to the Sales Directors are the Sales Managers, National Account Managers, and Regional Sales Managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $142,700 - $195,300.
Compensation is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Short-Term Incentive and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package.
A full range of medical, dental, vision, 401K plus up-to-four percent (4%) match, profit sharing, wellness program, paid parental leave, long-term-care insurance, critical accident insurance, short- and long-term disability and education assistance are also available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages sales team to achieve goals.
- Maintains and grows current business levels and secures new sales opportunities.
- Develops budget and manages expenditures and profitability.
- Develops, presents, and implements customer plans that meet sales volume goals and profitability levels by product category and by customer.
- Communicates new products, pricing changes, services, and other developments to existing and potential accounts.
- Develop and execute growth strategy with cross functional team
- This person will be influential in directing, leading, and/or influencing all activities that impact the business unit P&L
- Lead team in identifying white space opportunities in current customers & with direct reports
- Provide input into critical sales systems to support fulfillment, tracking, and S&OP process as relevant (e.g., expected volumes into the forecasting process)
- Establishes and maintains multiple levels of relationships within each customer in order to identify needs and opportunities as well as to provide selling solutions.
- Manages a network of Food Brokers
- Develops, communicates, and integrates plans for the execution of National Customer Account Programs that are financially beneficial to Mizkan America.
- Collaborates with Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Research and Development functions to achieve sales and financial targets.
- Consults with management and provides timely information and reports on sales activities, issues, trends, market changes, competitive developments, and other critical matters.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA or BS degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of combined experience in food sales and broker management required.
- Previous P & L experience preferred.
- Creative, aggressive, customer driven, and results oriented.
- Must possess demonstrated ability to manage, build, and enhance the overall value of the Mizkan Brands business.

- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is desirable.
- Potential to work from home office with convenient access to a major U.S. airport.
- 50%+ travel.
