We are seeking a hotel manager for our Menlo Park location.
As the hotel manager you oversee all aspects of the hotel's operation. The following are examples of a hotel manager's responsibilities. These examples do not, however, limit a hotel manager's responsibility for the hotel's operations, or other assignments given by citizenM leadership.

We are seeking a hotel manager for our Menlo Park location.

- Lead, encourage, and inspire ambassadors and leadership to support the operational success of citizenM
- Be the face of the hotel and provide an example to the ambassadors on exceptional customer service
- Ensure all hotel employees understand citizenM brand values
- Recruit qualified, energetic, positive, and proactive citizenM team members
- Train and coach ambassadors and assistant hotel managers to improve the service provided to the guest
- Develop and nurture talent, provide feedback and coaching via monthly conversations with hotel team
- Oversee hotel staffing to ensure efficient workforce management in the hotel
- Be responsible for your own personal planning and work organization
- Ensure a working understanding of local legislation that governs the operation of the hotel and its activities; including employment law, health and safety, food safety, alcohol licensing, first aid and fire safety
- Enforce citizenM rules and guidelines at the hotel, and establish hotel specific practices to improve guest satisfaction, and financial performance
- Be the citizenM point of contact for tenants and third party vendors
- Work alongside the hotel team to welcome our guests
- Lead by example and never be afraid to shake a cocktail, make a coffee, or do whatever it takes to support the team
- Work closely with regional support team to ensure the success of the day to day operation
- Actively seek ways to deliver a memorable guest experience at citizenM, no matter how big or small, and empower the hotel team to do the same
- Maintain the hotel environment to ensure a clean and comfortable experience in accordance with citizenM brand standards
- Maintain F&B compliance to exceed local DOH standards
- Supervise the general security of our guests and team members
- Attend meetings as needed and prepare needed operational reports
- Maintain supplier relationships and maintain established communication methods between suppliers
- Use of hotel systems for the timely reporting of and follow up of incidents, FF&E repairs, breakdown and malfunction of equipment
- Ensure hotel equipment is used for the purpose for which it is intended
- Ensure hotel IT equipment is used for the purpose for which it is intended and protect the security of such
- Responsible for overseeing accurate time keeping to ensure accurate payroll
- Responsible for inputting biweekly payroll data and monthly bonus payroll to ensure payment is timely and accurate
- Timely response to guest reviews

- Seek opportunities to generate revenue while providing added value to hotel guests;
- Lead the hotel team to improve hotel room inventory management while ensuring rooms are maintained and presented in top condition; and
- Be prepared for monthly meetings to present on guest satisfaction, talent development and hotel performance.
- Report regularly, and accurately reporting to the support office on matters such as financial performance of the hotel, payroll, invoicing, and human resources
- Build relationships with other departments within citizenM to promote the hotel and drive the brand
- Be a good neighbor and attend local community and industry events

- 4+ years proven stellar experience in a leadership role within a customer service environment
- Can lift, carry, push or pull - 50 lbs / 22kg
