This position is responsible to manage, inspect and oversee the construction of new, relocation, remodel and other miscellaneous types of construction projects and ensure that procedures, processes, materials and installations, comply with plans, specifications, schedules, contracts and brand standards

Responsibilities
This position is responsible to manage, inspect and oversee the construction of new, relocation, remodel and other miscellaneous types of construction projects and ensure that procedures, processes, materials and installations, comply with plans, specifications, schedules, contracts and brand standards
- Manage assigned Construction projects to ensure 100% internal and external customer satisfaction
- Manage, coordinate and communicate, with Company internal resources, including real estate, facilities, Architect, IT, security, store operations, general contractors, vendors and construction field personnel. Ensure the timely completion and adherence to scheduled opening dates, and budgets
- Manage construction projects from REC (real estate committee) approval to opening. Maintain weekly reports on construction progress and inspection activities
- Reviews weekly progress reports and photos and manages the onsite general contractor and site superintendent regarding project schedule, issue resolution and costs
- Creates accurate capital budget estimates for potential stores coming to REC. Manage actual construction costs to budgeted amounts. Review and manage and mitigate change orders
- Create fixture takeoffs from floor plans and construction documents
- Bid and award construction projects. Effectively onboard new general contractors
- Enter and maintain accurate project/store data in the Tango database and create and maintain reporting
- Manage post-construction activities, including store setup, final walkthroughs (onsite), punchlist resolution to ensure readiness for turnover to operations and grand openings
Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent, from a two-year college or technical school, plus 7-10 years related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required
- Experience in multi-unit national/regional retailer preferred
- Knowledgeable in standard construction costs, forms, and procedures, in a mall and strip center environments, with ability to review and create construction estimates to compare with industry standards
- Construction knowledge with emphasis on interior retail store construction in both mall and strip center environments
- Ability to read, interpret and evaluate blueprints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to accurately communicate and explain field problems or site conditions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and assignments
- A valid State Driver's license is required
- Ability to travel a minimum of 20%, to visit project locations within assigned project group and occasional weekend travel may be required
- Knowledgeable of spreadsheet software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, a plus
