Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR) / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4 Days a Week, 10-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Required to submit license
Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Must-Have: PACU and OR Circulating experience
Job Description:
- The position requires a Registered Nurse with both PACU and OR circulating experience.
- Work in a small rural facility where case volume varies day to day, typically 1-2 cases, with a maximum of 4-5 cases per day.
- Critical to have circulating experience due to the inability to provide on-the-job training.
- The nurse will handle procedures such as colonoscopy and endoscopy, with one major case on average per week.
- Collaborate with a surgical team trained and certified in advanced life-saving procedures.
- Flexibility in roles is essential as the nurse might cover PACU and pre-op when OR cases are not consistent.
- Participate in day shifts with shared weekend and after-hours call responsibilities, excluding the first week.
- Orientation provided, adaptable to ensure the nurse is comfortable with the facility and procedures.
- Proficiency with the Evident CPSI charting system is required.
- The facility provides a wide range of surgical services, including but not limited to appendectomy, gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and more specialized procedures.
