Overview
The Gallagher Retail Brokerage Head of Marketing, Select is responsible for oversight of the US Select Marketing function, with an emphasis on generating growth opportunities for our US Small Business, Personal Lines and Independent Agency acquisition target markets.
This position reports directly to the SVP of Marketing, GGB Americas, and works closely with the President of Gallagher Select (Markets) and Select Regional Leaders. As part of our GGB-Americas structure, this role will also collaborate closely with GGB-US and Corporate Marketing Teams.

How you'll make an impact
Focused primarily on driving organic growth opportunities primarily through digital channels, responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary Marketing Functional Leader for the US Select organization, working closely with President of Gallagher Select
- Development and management of small business and personal marketing strategies, plans and related budgets - ensuring brand strategies and management align with business priorities and sales goals and connect with prospect and customers in differentiated, meaningful and measurable ways that increase product demand and sales
- Management of US Select Marketing Team - including validation of all marketing strategies, initiatives and plans; lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Identifying, establishing, and nurturing relationships with centers of influence and strategic partners that can drive business growth including negotiation of media and agency contracts
- Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies and plans to generate high-quality leads for the sales team. This includes identifying target markets, creating buyer personas, and utilizing digital marketing, content marketing, and other channels to attract potential clients and upsell or retain existing clients.
- Designing and executing marketing campaigns aimed at existing clients to increase product adoption and cross-sell opportunities. Analyzing client data to identify upsell opportunities and tailoring marketing efforts to meet client needs.
- Coordinating campaign execution plans with digital marketing teams to utilize SEO, SEM, social media, email, mobile, compelling content, and other digital marketing techniques to increase digital traffic and sales
- Working closely with sales, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure alignment between marketing and sales objectives.
- Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Regularly analyzing campaign performance data and provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Conducting market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Using these insights to inform marketing strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluating marketing sponsorship and partnership opportunities, with responsibility for successful activation/execution of approved partnerships
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required in insurance sales and management.
Highly Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 7 - 15+ years relevant experience in B2B and B2C marketing or marketing consulting
- Previous experience as a Marketing Leader with direct responsibility for digital marketing strategy, effectiveness and reporting for a B2C Insurance or Financial Services organization
- Consistent record of successful client management/relationship building
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience creating and leading integrated digital and traditional marketing strategies and plans
- Experience handling a multi-brand marketing portfolio and working across several stakeholders and brands simultaneously while in a Leadership role
- Experience reporting on marketing effectiveness through dashboards, monthly or quarterly reports or other reporting mechanisms
- Marketing budget oversight and management, including paid media
- Outside agency and resource management
- Ability to develop long-term strategies combined with immediate/short-term quick wins
- Demonstrate an ability to create positive change while driving measurable organic growth. Being a collaborative, service-oriented relationship builder and strategic thinker will be critical to the success of this role.
