The Role: Sr. IT Manager

The Senior IT Manager role reports to the Director of IT and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day IT operations within the organization. This position will ensure that all IT systems (both cloud and on prem), cybersecurity systems, helpdesk support and infrastructure operate reliably and securely to provide the best service to ensure employee productivity and systems uptime while maintaining information security.

This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, executing, interfacing with stakeholders, and aligning business objectives to meet the long-term goals of the organization. Additionally, the Senior IT Manager is expected to provide all levels of field support as needed.

  • Full-time, hybrid. Office days required Tues/Wed/Thurs. On-call and after support as needed.


Work Location

  • PS HQ - 212 Eucalyptus Dr. El Segundo, CA. Occasional travel to other offices.


Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Work with management and business units to help develop and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives and support growth.
  • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, hybrid network engineers, helpdesk staff, and other support personnel.
  • Oversee the helpdesk operations to ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues and requests. Implement best practices for ticket and user support management. Explore and increase the utilization of helpdesk tools available through feature adaptation, identification and refinement of workflows.
  • Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues, providing hands-on support when necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity/Risk team to secure IT systems by implementing strong security measures, performing penetration tests, and monitoring for potential threats. Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards like NIST CSF, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, among others.
  • Manage IT projects from initial planning through to final execution, making sure they are completed on schedule and within the allocated budget, considering all phases from pre-implementation to post-completion.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Help develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation.
  • Track system performance and make enhancements to boost efficiency and reliability, including managing alerts and responses based on set policies.
  • HelpDevelop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of IT failures.
  • Document, development and the upkeep of policies, standards and procedures.


Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent in experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in IT operations management, with at least 2-5 years in a senior role.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of IT system infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong team and project management abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing IT staff.
  • Self-Motivation: The ability to operate independently with minimal direction, anticipate needs and expectations.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

Compensation $135,000 - $145,000 annually. This is a full-time, Exempt role.
