THE ROLE The Finance Director will oversee, monitor and analyze capital and operating budgets, including monthly financial analyses, monthly forecasting, annual planning, cash forecasting, and ad hoc business analyses. THE ROLE The Finance Director will oversee, monitor and analyze capital and operating budgets, including monthly financial analyses, monthly forecasting, annual planning, cash forecasting, and ad hoc business analyses. ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all facets of the business operations including monthly P&L statements and all financial reporting
- Manage the day-to-day accounting processes including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Support the Business Plan Process and ensure coordination of the annual budgets.
- Develop annual operating budget and quarterly reviews vs plan.
- Directly manage the finance and payroll team and responsibilities.
- Daily reconciliation of cash and credit card transactions.
- Prepare a flash revenue report after every event day.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial forecasts for comparison to budget.
- Manage the monthly inventory process and perform in-depth cost of goods analysis.
- Coordinate preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Ensure a timely and accurate month-end closing process.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial results, forecasts, and externally required financial reports.
- Provide strategic advice based on trends in the operation and financial performance of the venue.
- Assist in the development of control procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Participate in the planning and administration of the annual budget process including detailed review of departmental budget submissions.
- Build solid working relationships with business and department leaders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in sports, live entertainment, or hospitality industry.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential.
- Must be highly analytical, can think creatively, and understand complex business dynamics.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Appetize and NCR Quest point of sale systems, and ABI payroll system a plus.
- Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends, and holidays.
