Franklin Elementary School is a high performing school serving K-grade 5. The school has a stable, professional and dedicated staff, and a student population that is becoming more diverse both culturally and academically. The school is fortunate to have a very involved parent population. We seek a school leader who embraces change and enjoys the challenge of working in a dynamic learning environment.
Salary and Benefits:$85,000.00-$90,000.00
The successful candidate will:
Put student learning first
Be knowledgeable about continuous improvement practices and skilled in using data to monitor progress on school goals
Work effectively with staff, parents and other stakeholders
Sustain positive and mutually respectful relationships
Possess strong collaborative and problem-solving skills
Have experience facilitating change processes
Have strong knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction at the preschool and elementary school level
Possess a deep understanding of elementary level learners and their developmental needs
Have strong organizational and technology skills
Serve as an instructional leader at the school level
Support district initiatives
Provide leadership in special education and early childhood education
Works with special education staff to assist with IEP implementation for special education students, appropriately modify instruction, services, and expectations for students referred for special education placement
Stays current on educational changes and developments
Required License:
Valid Illinois PEL(Professional Educator License) with General Administrative Endorsement
Preferred qualifications:
Administrative leadership experience
Elementary school teaching experience
Knowledge of special education law, procedures and strategies
