This role will research and analyze investment opportunities to help leadership make informed investment decisions for the organization. This role will assist with some evaluation of overall agricultural markets and commodity risk.

AgReserves is seeking a business-savvy Senior Investment Analyst to join their Strategy and Analysis team. This role will research and analyze investment opportunities to help leadership make informed investment decisions for the organization. This role will assist with some evaluation of overall agricultural markets and commodity risk.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare investment reports and analyses on agricultural investment opportunities or strategies.
- Assess risks and evaluate potential returns to make informed investment decisions.
- Ensure alignment with the organization's investment objectives, strategies, and risk tolerance levels.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, asset allocation, and risk exposure.
- Collect and research economic data, agricultural metrics, and market conditions.
- Analyze and research agricultural markets, commodities, and investment products.
- Calculate and evaluate the financial health, returns, and fair value of agricultural commodities, assets, or other investments.
- Identify market trends and recommend actions for the organization.
- Develop and build financial models, forecasts, and investment strategies.
- Utilize mathematical formulas and statistical analyses to identify potential or alternative investments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Ag Economics, or related. Master's degree highly preferred.
- 5+ years directly applicable experience in investment analysis and asset valuation and/or similar role in agribusiness.
- Proven track record exercising an appropriate level of professional skepticism when exploring different investment opportunities.
- Experience in DCF (discounted cashflow) analysis, measures of investment analysis (NPV, IRR, MIRR, ROI, etc.), CAPM, Cost of Capital, EVA (Economic Value Added) performance measures.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to use statistical tools and mathematical formulas to evaluate investments.
- Strong demonstrated interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills with ability to provide insights and observations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- This is an in-office position - eligible candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at the SLC Corporate office Monday-Friday during standard office hours.
