Description:
The National Business Development Manager is a true hunter responsible for driving outside sales growth by identifying and closing new accounts that significantly contribute to the growth of Elwood Staffing. The NBDM will be assigned to a specific industry vertical (Energy, Distribution & Logistics, Manufacturing, Contact Center) and will be charged with hunting new opportunities in that vertical. This position requires daily prospecting and routine face-to-face interaction with prospects, and close coordination with Elwood's leadership. The NBDM will sell large scale light industrial, Master Vendor and Professional solutions.

- Identify leads, qualify prospective business, create proposals, present to clients, and create new sustainable business partnerships across the utility, oil and gas, and renewable sectors.
- Build a strong pipeline of new/unexplored prospects within the energy sectors.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of client goals, regulatory requirements, and market trends to deliver impactful, compliant solutions.
- Present customized solutions that demonstrate a clear understanding of the prospective client's business needs across all areas of the business.
- Stay informed about current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the energy industry, including sustainability initiatives, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
- Identify opportunities to leverage the company's offerings to solve challenges and deliver innovative solutions tailed to the energy sector.
- Actively drive negotiations, close, and onboard new accounts.
- Manage account relationships by soliciting feedback and working with the internal teams to ensure service delivery expectations are met and concerns are addressed.
- Lead negotiations to secure new contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present revenue performance reporting for senior management
Experience and skills for a National Business Development Manager:
- Regional or multi-location outside sales, new account business development, or consulting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of the energy market, including trends in decarbonization, smart grid technologies, renewable energy adoption, and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with energy-related technologies and solution, such as energy management systems, grid modernization tools, and renewable energy infrastructure.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license is required for this role to travel between branch and prospect/client locations
