Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Infusion
Job Duration: 22 weeks
Shift: Day, 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:30)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Preferred minimum of 2 years Oncology Nurse experience; Prior travel assignment within the last 12 months; Previous teaching hospital experience is preferred
License: CA RN license
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS); Oncology Nursing Society Chemo Immunotherapy certification
Must-Have:
- COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster (Medical/Religious exemptions accepted)
- Ability to provide proof of vaccination or booster before start date
- Flexibility to orient and work at various locations within a 75-mile radius
Job Description:
- Primarily work with Malignant Hematology, Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma patients
- Experience in administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, and hydration
- Ability to triage basic oncology symptoms and issues related to oncology treatments
- Flexibility required for floating to different departments and facilities as needed
- Modules to be completed pre-start and annually, with 8 hours included in non-billable hours
- Orientation hours provided for training purposes
