Job Duties:
  • Innovate and refine semiconductor wafer fabrication processes using advanced III-V materials (GaAs, GaSb, InP, InGaAs, InAsSb).
  • Create detailed manufacturing workflows and procedures for high-reliability applications.
  • Oversee experimental design, execution, and data-driven analysis to enhance manufacturing yields and reproducibility.
  • Provide training and mentorship to engineering teams and production operators on newly developed processes.
  • Regularly assess device performance metrics and propose data-supported process improvements.
  • Document thorough process instructions, troubleshooting steps, and experimental outcomes clearly and consistently.
  • Effectively communicate experimental findings and improvement strategies to technical leadership and scientific teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years direct experience in microelectronic wafer fabrication and semiconductor process development.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with nanofabrication tools including photolithography steppers, SEM equipment, metal deposition systems, plasma-enhanced deposition, and dry etch technology.
  • Proven proficiency applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) and structured experimental design techniques (DOE).
  • Demonstrated analytical capability to interpret and communicate complex semiconductor test data clearly and effectively.
  • Experience creating comprehensive documentation, test reports, and standard operating procedures for semiconductor processes.

Preferred Experience:
  • Skill in handling delicate components with precision tools.
  • Experience designing photolithography masks and familiarity with mask-design software.
  • Experience managing engineering projects or programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Proficient technical writing and strong presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Python, MES systems, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Prior exposure to high-reliability semiconductor device programs, including avalanche photodiode detector technologies.

Security Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain US Secret clearance.

Compensation Details:

$125,000 - $165,000
