Overview
Full Time position
Collaborates with customers, Information Services, Vendors, peers in the informatics role, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute information technology plans including software applications and hardware related to clinical workflows. Interacts daily with staff to communicate and resolve information technology needs. Acts as advocate for staff relative to clinical IT issues. Provides a key link between medical staff, nursing staff, other clinical users, senior administration, and Information Services. Utilizes knowledge of clinical workflow to provide input into application development, implementation, training and continuous support. This role provides information systems support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's degree in informatics preferred
Required Experience: Over 5 years healthcare experience, EMR system experience (Epic preferred), Training and Education development, project management, programming/coding, technical problem solving, and system implementation coordination.
Preferred Experience: Informatics, IT, Epic
Required Licensure/Certifications: N/A
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida
IT certifications
Epic Certifications
ANCC Informatics board certification
Necessary Skills:
1. Must have knowledge of and experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
2. Must have strong analytical abilities
3. Problem solving skills
4. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as, demonstrated cross-team collaboration.
