Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will perform accounting tasks, including financial reporting, analysis, month-end close and reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting standards and internal controls.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records and entries for AR, AP and GL;
Perform monthly bank reconciliations;
Prepare and process payroll via Gusto;
Assist accounting department with daily, monthly and annual accounting tasks;
Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, invoices and receipts;
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure billing charges are accurate and payments received promptly;
Review month / year-end financial reports;
Communicate with healthcare providers to verify their account metrics and year-to-date results;
Participate in ongoing education opportunities to maintain current industry trends and developments;
Assist with tax document preparation;
Ensure healthcare providers' invoices and bills are paid in a timely manner and reports are prepared and sent to them monthly;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3 - 5 years of proven experience within a similar senior accounting position;
Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor's Degree, preferred;
Proficiency with GAAP standard accounting standards and procedures;
Proficiency with AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, month / year-end close processes;
Proficiency with Sage accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct, a plus;
Proficiency with payroll processing systems; experience with Gusto, a plus;
Proficiency with MS Office 365; experience with Salesforce and Stripe, a plus;
Proficiency in reviewing financial statements and accounting-related reports;
Astute analytical / quantitative capabilities, time management, attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, follow-through, customer service skills and ability to work to tight deadlines;
Ability to work effectively alone and within a collaborative team environment.
Compensation:
$39.00 - $49.00 per hour DOE, for this full-time, non-exempt position.
Benefits:
Medical, dental and vision insurance premiums paid 100% for employee;
401(k) with an annual contribution of 3% by employer, after 6 months of employment;
80 hours of paid vacation accruing on start date
40 hours of paid sick time allotted at the beginning of the year, or pro-rated if a later start and then annually at the beginning of the year;
10 paid public holidays.
