What You'll Do:
- Own the Group Sales Strategy: Drive revenue by developing and executing group sales initiatives that maximize occupancy and revenue performance.
- Build & Cultivate High-Value Client Relationships: Engage with corporate groups, associations, SMERF, and entertainment industry clients to secure long-term, repeat business.
- Lead Proactive Sales Efforts: Conduct outside sales calls, site inspections, networking events, and attend major tradeshows to generate leads.
- Optimize Revenue & Market Positioning: Work closely with revenue management to create competitive group pricing strategies and identify opportunities for market growth.
- Close High-Impact Deals: Prepare and present compelling proposals, contracts, and negotiations that turn prospects into long-term clients.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with catering, revenue management, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of booked business.
- Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Conduct research to identify new business opportunities and innovative sales approaches that position the hotel as the top choice for group events.
- Exceed Sales Targets: Consistently achieve and surpass revenue goals, focusing on high-return group bookings.
Who You Are:
- Experienced & Results-Driven: Minimum 5+ years in hospitality sales, preferably in the Los Angeles market and a full-service hotel setting.
- Strategic & Relationship-Oriented: Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
- A Top Negotiator: Strong track record of securing and closing high-value group business.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Salesforce, Cvent, OnQ, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales CRM tools.
- An Industry Insider: Deep understanding of the corporate group, association, entertainment, and SMERF market segments.
- Detail-Oriented & Highly Organized: Ability to manage multiple leads, contracts, and client communications efficiently.
- A Team Player & Leader: Highly collaborative with a positive, team-first mentality and the ability to mentor junior sales team members.
